The Republic of Croatia as a traditionally maritime state continuously dedicate special attention to maritime traffic development but also to improvement of safety of navigation and sea pollution protection.
Taking into account that the sailor is the most important factor in protection of human lives on sea, protection of sea environment and safe navigation, this Ministry by numerous measures stimulates growth and development of labor market in maritime affairs by ensuring the education and trainings in accordance with STCWI978 Convention, cost-effectiveness of professional improvement, providing students of maritime learning institutions with scholarships by also through measures of social protection of sailors and arranged system of employment intermediation.
Having that in mind, we can surely say that internet portal http://www.maritime-connector.com/ , being on the scent of aforementioned measures, is reflection of regulated labor market and a great example of initiative focused on strengthening the competitiveness of Croatian sailors on international market.

The „Split tours d.d.“ company was using advertising services on the web site Maritime-Connector. It is a positive experience in every way. As the season was approaching, search for seafarers was increased and it was necessary to find qualified crew.
