It is our pleasure to announce that the DP centre leading provider of training and Consultancy in the field of Dynamic positioning along of our 5 already existing DP centre's in London, Singapore, Brazil, Manila and Dubai) have decided to start with the DP training in Split.
The DP centre Split will start with the courses on the 09th of June 2008 in our premises at the address Gunduliceva 26, Split.
We will provide following courses:
- DP basic course
- DP advanced course
We will be running courses on the both Konsberg and Converteam (ex Alstom) equipment.
In all of our centre's courses are accredited by The Nautical Institute, London.

About The Dyamic Positioning Centre
The DP Centre was founded first in Aberdeen in 1995, from where the first school moved to premises in London. The parent school is currently located at 37 Shad Thames off the South side of Tower Bridge in London. We now have other centres in Croatia, Macae, Dubai, Singapore and Manila which are engaged in Training and Consultancy services for the Dynamic Positioning industry. The DP Centre is part of the C-MAR Group of companies which has been involved in all aspects of the offshore industry since 1989 - crewing, ship management, surveys, consultancy, FMEAs (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), electrical and engineering design and automation.
DP Induction and Advanced Courses conducted by our centres, are accredited by the Nautical Institute, London. Although the centres are equipped with Kongsberg or Converteam DP systems, courses are generic and well founded. The Nautical Institute London sets the curriculum for each course.
Our instructors come with valuable experience in all aspects of the industry. Each of them has more than five years experience on DP vessels in a senior capacity and most have been Masters. Our team of instructors, facilities and course modules have made us the leading Centre for Dynamic Positioning training in the world.
A student undergoing courses at any of our centres will benefit from the well planned structure of our Courses, preparing them to man any class of DP vessel. During the Advanced Course, students go through a variety of exercises on simulators, which cover many different types of vessels and task objectives. Much emphasis is laid on planning, vessel capability, risk analysis, job hazard analysis, communications, check lists and good teamwork. Students are taken through various emergencies that they might encounter onboard.
Course schedules are announced well in advance, allowing companies and students to plan ahead. Bespoke courses can be arranged to suit our client's requirements.
The Centre can also prepare specific project manuals, contingency procedures, and all manuals related to the ISM Code (International Ship Management Code) and will assist with certification.
